I work with people in high-pressure roles who are used to holding things together for everyone else - at work, at home, in their business. On the outside you may look ‘fine’ but inside it might feel very different. Perhaps the stress doesn’t ever switch off, decisions keep circling, and there maybe a quiet sense you’ve lost touch with yourself.

Gestalt Therapy looks at the whole person and is holistic in its approach This means that what ever is happening in the person's life they can bring it to counselling and talk things through and work towards creative sustainable solutions and coping strategies. The family systems approach says that the family is more than the sum of its parts. When something affects one member of the group, it can have a resounding impact on every other member of the family. For that same reason, the strength and stability of the family unit can provide balance and support when one family member is experiencing problems.

I understand therapy as something that exists within the wider contexts of our lives — the societal pressures we navigate, experiences of identity and belonging, and the systems that can shape the ways we move through the world and the impacts this has on self concept. I work with a range of client experiences including neurodivergence, identity and sexuality. I'm interested in childhood trauma and the ways we can listen to, understand and soothe our inner child. I can also help with self-harm, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.

Sometimes we live with our pain, burnout or distress for so long that it just becomes normal, leaving us feeling stuck, helpless or ashamed. Reaching out for help can feel like a momentous task, but once that step has been taken, you are telling yourself that you are capable and deserving of so much more. As an experienced therapist, I work with my clients to identify and work through the problems they face in daily life. From those who are dealing with life altering struggles and those who are carrying the weight of the world each day - change can be possible.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming - especially when so many profiles seem similar. I believe that, like any meaningful relationship, therapy needs to feel like a good fit. Feeling comfortable, understood, and at ease with your therapist is often where real change begins. I’m a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over ten years’ experience working across children’s and adult mental health services. I began my journey in mental health at the age of 16, and since then have remained deeply committed to improving access to psychological support for all.

You might look like you’re coping on the outside—but inside, something doesn’t feel right. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed by your emotions, stuck in patterns in relationships, or disconnected from yourself. You may have been through experiences that still linger—showing up as anxiety, numbness, self-doubt, or a constant sense of being “on edge.” Even if things seem fine on the surface, something deeper isn’t settling. If that resonates, therapy can offer a space to begin understanding why things feel this way—and what can start to shift.

Do you feel you would like your relationship to be in a better place? Perhaps you're going through a life transition, such as becoming parents, or you're raising a family and you would love to find that spark between you as a couple again. Have you noticed a distance between you, and that you miss the closeness and intimacy you once shared? Maybe your relationship has reached a crisis point such as an affair and you're looking to help your relationship heal. Or maybe communication has become an issue, leaving you feeling that your true needs are not being met and you would like to understand each other better.

I support clients with their mental heath including experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, eating disorders, emotion dis-regulation and more.
My training and experience allows me to work flexibly and according to client preferences. An initial session will be an opportunity to understand the client's experience and find the best way to work together going forward. Different approaches work for different people and experiences, therefore I offer the space to understand a preferred way of working.

Thank you for viewing my profile, I am aware that seeking therapy and finding the right practitioner can be challenging aspects of any journey. In my practice I aim to make the process of therapy accessible, by collaborating with you at each step and tailoring the therapy to your current challenges and unique context. Holding a pluralistic philosophy and practice stance, I emphasise both your goals and the evidence-base, as we make sense of your current difficulties. I always aim to foster an environment of acceptance, respect, transparency and emphasise your agency, viewing both of us at the “active ingredients” of therapy.
