I have worked with adults of all ages presenting a range of mental health conditions including: anxiety, panic, depression and low mood, bulimia and trauma, and produced effective and lasting results.
While my counselling services are open to all adults, I have a particular interest in supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and can appreciate how our community is, for a variety of reasons, disproportionately affected by mental health issues. I provide a welcoming LGBTQ+ informed and affirming therapeutic space.

I routinely work with depression, anxiety, bereavement, adjustment to change, psychological traumas (i.e. childhood abuse), relationship problems.
Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. Finding the right fit between yourself and your psychotherapist is an important task, so I would encourage you to speak to a few people before you commit to anyone. I offer a safe and welcoming space where you can explore your feelings, and thoughts free from fear of judgment. My main goal is always to collaborate with you to find the best way to help you reach your goals, whether that be of changing a behavioural pattern that no longer serves you or accepting what is not changeable.

Often emotional difficulties such as addiction, depression and anxiety are about a fundamental loss of meaning in a person’s life; these feelings of loss can be profound and overwhelming.
Hello. I provide counselling and counselling supervision. Common thoughts that lead people to come to counselling include the following: "I can't get rid of my anger." , "Will this grief never end?" , "Why can't I form meaningful relationships?", "I can't bear living with this anxiety", "I can't see any point in anything.", "Why am I drinking so much?", "I feel so stressed at work all the time." and "I often feel that life is not worth living." When such thoughts and feelings seriously affect our ability to enjoy life then it may be time to think about getting help.

Depression
I find the Person-Centred Approach fits my own philosophy as it has at its very core, an unshakable belief that all people are good. Person-Centred counselling believes that each and every person can, and will, become a more fully functioning person if given the correct conditions. The underpinning principles of the Person- Centred Approach are focused on the counsellor being honest, non-judgmental and fully accepting whilst being fully integrated in the relationship allowing the client to lead and set the pace. I aim to offer these conditions as best as I can during our relationship.

I have experience of working with people who have felt overwhelmingly anxious, depressed, hopeless or stuck and have seen how this process can help them make positive changes in their lives over time.
Does work feel all consuming and draining? Or are you the one everybody relies on in the family and it is exhausting - nobody realising what you are feeling inside? Perhaps you wonder if things could be different in your life? It could be life transitions, stress, low mood, a constant anxious feeling or difficulties in relationships. As a psychodynamic counsellor, I have seen impactful and lasting changes when people are able to tell their story to someone who can listen and notice things alongside. Exploring how early relationships and past experiences affect us in the present.

Before completing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I completed a Masters in Psychological Therapy, focussing on treating adults with problems such as anxiety, depression & sleep disorders using a CBT framework.
Within my practice, it is imperative that all clients are aware that therapy is taken at their individual pace. Following a thorough assessment, I help clients understand their current difficulties by building a narrative of what past events have contributed to the current problem and what may be maintaining it. From this, we collaboratively create an individual treatment plan that targets the presenting problem/s using the most relevant therapeutic approach available.
