I am a CBT Therapist with over 6 years experience in the Mental Health field. I am passionate about my work and feel privileged to be able to support people with their mental health. I named my business "Flying Start Therapy," as I aim to give clients a flying start back into their lives and towards their goals. My biggest aim as a Therapist is to offer a non-judgemental space for clients to speak freely and begin to envision a brighter future. I can work with a range of mental health conditions listed below and am currently running a ADHD support group and working with adults with ADHD. I have current spaces during the week.

I have specialised in adult mental health, complex trauma, substance use, neuropsychology, neurodivergence (Autism, ADHD) and offending behaviour for the NHS, charities, independent sector and criminal justice services.
Ideally, you’ll feel open to hearing what psychology can do for you. You’ll feel able to speak about what life’s like for you and where you want to get to. I won’t ask you to disclose all that’s happened to you but I’ll be able to hear what you feel ready to share. As well as trying to fix things, we’ll look to see your positives and build on them. Your instincts will tell you if I’m the right person for you and whether you feel ready to embark upon a change process.

I help neurodivergent, autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, cPTSD, and neuro-questioning individuals explore their identity, heal old wounds, and advocate for themselves to lead more fulfilling lives.
Do you ask yourself: “Why do I struggle with things others find easy?” You might feel like you don’t quite fit in the 'regular' world. You may have tried therapy in the past but it didn't help and most therapists didn't 'get' you. Your unique wiring can make it difficult to navigate the world - it comes with real challenges and no one can deny that or make it suddenly disappear. But guess what? You have so much to offer this world and I am glad you’re here. Let’s find what your best life looks like and how to help you get there together.

In my 16 years of practice I have supported children with a wide range of concerns such as bullying, ASD, ADHD, parental separation through to neglect and abuse.
Welcome! My name is Keeley and I’m here to support you and your child. Let me help you bring some harmony back to your family. Being a parent or a carer presents a whole range of challenges, and there are times when you may feel that you need the support of a professional to help your child to make sense of a difficult or complex experience, or to understand why they are behaving in a particular way. Everyone’s needs will be different, but whatever needs to be done to support you and your child you will always be at the heart of my work. The chance to be heard and to see concerns in a new light can make all the difference.

Thank you for visiting my profile. You may be looking for help with a specific issue, looking for more purpose or clarity in life, more understanding about yourself or maybe you might be confused. Sometimes choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming and despite the qualifications and experience it can be more about finding the right fit between yourself and your therapist.

Hello! My name is Emma-Louise and I am an integrative therapist trained primarily in Person-Centered and Holistic therapies. I believe that therapy should be a safe place where you can come as the human you are and speak to another human without being labelled, diagnosed or dictated to. We all experience our life so uniquely, that it's impossible to put anyone into a neatly fitted box, that's where I want to work with you to explore your authentic self.

ADHD Counsellors

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
