I help mothers navigate babyloss grief and pregnancy after loss anxiety, guiding you toward moments of peace and connection.
You've experienced the unimaginable, losing your baby. Now, each day feels like walking through fog. Or perhaps you're pregnant again, but instead of joy, you're drowning in anxiety. Every appointment triggers panic. Every twinge of pain sends your mind spiraling. "What if it happens again?"
Maybe you're afraid to bond with this baby, to buy anything new or to tell people you're expecting. You feel guilty for moving forward, yet guilty for not embracing this new chance. People say "at least you can get pregnant" or "this one will be fine," but they don't understand, the fear is constant. You don't have to face it alone.

I qualified as a CBT Therapist in 2009 & since then I have worked with people on a wide variety of issues including anxiety, bereavement, low self-esteem, depression, relationships, weight issues, OCD & phobias (including tokophobia, fear of pregnancy & childbirth).
Do you feel overwhelmed or anxious? Is it all getting too much at times? Do you feel stuck but don’t know how to change? It can help to have someone impartial to talk to who can help you through difficult times and give you some space to deal with whatever is causing your distress. This is where therapy can help. I believe people seek therapy because they want to make a change in their lives. This can be scary, but having felt overwhelmed and anxious at times myself, I hope to be able to offer a supportive, calm, safe environment for you to explore your issues and work towards the best solution for you.

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on both the past and present. The psychodynamic approach looks at how important the role of the unconscious and past experiences is on influencing our current behaviour. I believe therapy can reduce pain from past experiences if you are willing and ready to motivate change within yourself. Whether it's short-term or open-ended therapy you are looking for I can help you gain a greater sense of wellbeing. Giving yourself the time to come to counselling will bring greater self-awareness and with it the opportunity for personal development and lasting change in your life.

Life can feel overwhelming—I get that, as a counsellor and as a fellow human. You might be navigating loss, big changes, or relationship challenges, feeling stuck, numb, or exhausted. That inner critic can be loud, making you feel never good enough. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to do it alone. I believe that counselling can be such a powerful experience in helping you to become unstuck, move forward and to see things from a new perspective. If you're struggling to hold on to hope right now, I can hold it for both of us until things seem a little brighter in your world.

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.
When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.
How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviours. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
