My therapy space offers a safe, supportive environment where you can bring your questions about relationship and sexuality without judgement.
Most of us need someone in our lives to feel safe and close to, and who will want that with us. A good relationship is being close enough to feel seen and heard, while having enough space to maintain a sense of agency and choice. But in life that balance is sometimes hard to find or sustain. We get stuck, or feel isolated or frightened. That's when therapy is important, to help you explore relational questions in a safe in judgemental way, to work out what is best for you.

Sex is like cooking: a creative, messy process that never turns out quite the same way twice; the pleasure lies in the experience, not in the final result.
As a sex therapist, I support individuals, couples, and multi-partners in navigating sex problems, relationship challenges, and anxiety or stress related to intimacy. Blending mindfulness in therapy, I offer a warm, empathetic space to help you reconnect with your body and mind, encouraging self-kindness, body awareness, and playful exploration.

I help my clients build their skill set, and understanding of themselves and their partners, expand on their sexuality and expression, get out of unhealthy patterns in relationships and build a life full of passion, pleasure, excitement, love, peace and confidence.
When will you finally get that dream relationship and intimate life? Another day, month, year passes and it’s all the same - you’re repeating the same relationship patterns no matter how much you try to break them. I get you, it can feel like you’re trying to find your way through thick fog and keep ending up lost or in the same place. What is happening for you now? Are you struggling with intimacy, desire, or confidence? Curious about kink, swinging, or expanding your erotic world? Want to open your relationship safely? Or maybe the starting point is harder: finding a partner, rebuilding trust with yourself and love, or else?

Sometimes we can feel sad, overwhelmed and stuck. We might not always know the reasons why, but we do know that we don’t want to stay feeling like this. Friends and family are not always available or the best people to speak with to get unbiased support. It may be a past trauma, a difficult childhood, an unhappy relationship, stress / anxiety / depression or bereavement & loss. You may have an ok or good relationship that you would like to make better, to understand your partner or be understood. You may be considering leaving your relationship but are not sure how to.

I have a special interest in neurodiversity, multicultural counselling, Gestalt therapy, and support for GSRD (Gender Sexuality Relationship Diversity) and LGBTQ+ communities.
I see therapy as a process of discovery, healing, and growth. Through dialogue and experiential learning, we will explore how you are in relationships, how you make choices, and how you co-create your world. We will look at where you feel ‘stuck’ and what seems ‘difficult.’ We will stay with the feelings and complexities that emerge, making space for deeper understanding and new possibilities.I believe that change happens when you have enough support, when you fully acknowledge your present situation, and when you are willing to commit to the work.My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own strength and capacity.

Patient. Reliable. Approachable. I’m an experienced Irish psychologist, with a practice primarily focused on relationship difficulties. These create psychological challenges that tend to preoccupy every waking minute of our lives. Our self-understanding is built up through our relationships, through what gets reflected back to us from those closest to us. As a result, difficulties like infidelity, jealousy, envy, loneliness, repeating conflicts - these can cut to the core of who we are. Working together, I can support you to rebuild trust in yourself, and make greater sense of the difficult relational reality you find yourself in.

Sex Therapy Counsellors

Who is sex therapy for?

Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.

Why do people need sex therapy?

Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.

What happens in sex therapy?

People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.

What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?

Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
