Drawing on mindfulness, compassion and behavioural science, we explore the vicious cycles that keep you feeling stuck, make space for difficult emotions, and build practical skills for a more fulfilling life.
Struggling with anxiety or ADHD? I help women in their 20s and 30s feel at ease in their own skin — and like their lives are actually moving in the right direction. Maybe you're always in your head, problem-solving things that haven't happened yet, or replaying the ones that have. Maybe tasks pile up while you'll do anything to avoid starting them. Maybe you struggle to truly switch off, even when the day is finally done. Maybe you know the quiet shame of thinking — I should be managing better by now. I understand these patterns deeply — both professionally and personally. The good news: there's a lot we can work with.

My aim is to allow space for you to untangle these thoughts and to learn to understand your inner critic so that you can gently challenge it, bringing more self compassion and balance into your life.
Counselling is 'your' space - one that you don't need to pretend in or hold together, you just need to come as you are. A space to have your doubts and fears expressed and heard. It is a place to lay out your thoughts, to challenge your voice of criticism and comparison and to learn to trust yourself and to offer yourself more compassion.

You have arrived here because you need something to change and to feel better. You may be experiencing problems with your relationships, with your identity, with your feelings about yourself. You may be suffering from grief and loss - of someone/something else or perhaps yourself. You may be dealing with past or ongoing trauma or seeking something you can’t quite name. You may simply need to tell your story and be heard and witnessed. Whatever has brought you here now needs to be noticed and attended to with time, care and skill and now is the time.

Sessions are collaborative and supportive, giving you tools to feel calmer, more confident, and able to manage challenges with greater ease in everyday life.
Hello, my name is Ellie and I’m a CBT therapist. If you’ve stumbled on this page, I can imagine you may be going through a difficult time. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed or not quite yourself, and it feels hard to see a way forward. I understand how challenging it can be to break free from patterns of negative thinking and behaviour — it can feel like being tangled in knots you can’t untie. That’s where CBT can help. Together we’ll gently work through these patterns and find ways to move forward with more self-compassion.

Life Coaching Counsellors
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
