Are you a new parent struggling to cope with the transition to motherhood? Are you feeling disorientated, lost and wondering who you now are since having a baby? Are you struggling to "enjoy every minute" of motherhood and therefore feel there must be something "wrong" with you? Do you feel that everyone around you seems to be moving on with their life but you are still trying to process and understand the journey that you now find yourself on? Do you feel like you are the only one struggling with new parenthood? Do you feel "seen" or understood as a person who has gone through the life-transforming rite of passage of giving birth?

I am trained in CBT and EMDR.
Worry has a way of convincing us that the worst will happen and that we won’t be able to cope. Worry feels uncontrollable, overwhelming and all-consuming. You may try to push the thoughts away, avoid situations, or procrastinate to escape the anxiety, but end up feeling worse. You might feel the urge to keep checking things or asking others for reassurance, but that comfort is fleeting, and doubt quickly creeps back in. Worry can drain your energy, leaving you exhausted, restless or on edge.

I’m a coaching psychologist based in Edinburgh. I work with a small number of high-performing individuals navigating growth, pressure, or psychological inflection points — professionally or personally.
I offer a discreet, bespoke coaching service — sometimes through monthly engagements, or intensive on-call days. This is not therapy, but a strategic psychological partnership.
Together, we co-create a space where our relationship and the work you want to do is held safely, from a place of deep care. I use a theoretical coaching approach, working on your current and future life. Deep listening helps, as does challenge.

Throughout our lives most of us will experience some form of emotional, mental or relationship problems. These problems can be related to our work, our home life, our past or simply come out of the blue. Sometimes it might just be a mild inconvenience, but more often it can affect our lives profoundly. Either way it can be hard to admit that help might be needed. And harder still to find the best help. That’s where I come in. With psychotherapy or counselling I can help you discover what the issues are and work with you to fix them.

I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches, including aspects of CBT and DBT, to best meet the individual needs and experiences of each client.
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read through my page. I'm originally from South Africa, but have lived across the UK since 2016. This has given me the opportunity to develop an insight into how complex life, and our histories, can be, and the impact and difficulties this can give rise to. I draw from a psychodynamic base- understanding the nature and impact both the relationships with others, as well as ourselves, can have. I have experience working with teens - older adults, and tend to offer a more gentle, rather than structured, approach. I strive to develop a space where client's feel safe, protected, and heard.

I’d like to begin by welcoming you and acknowledging the step it takes to begin therapy, especially if you have spent much of your life feeling “not good enough,” “too much,” or as though you don’t quite belong. I am a qualified Counsellor working primarily with anxiety and trauma, and I often support people who carry deep-rooted feelings of shame, inadequacy, or self-doubt that began in early life. When we grow up in environments where our emotional needs are not consistently met, we can internalise painful messages that continue to shape how we relate to ourselves and others in adulthood.

Living with neurodiversity like ADHD, Autism, learning differences, OCD etc. can bring both unique strengths and daily challenges. Anxiety, stress, and relationship struggles are common, leaving many individuals, couples, and families feeling stuck. I understand this deeply—not only through years of professional training but also from my own life in a neurodivergent family. In therapy, I offer a safe, supportive space to explore how neurodivergence shapes communication, intimacy, and family dynamics.

In our sessions, we’ll draw on cognitive behavioral therapy to connect the dots between your past experiences and present patterns, but always with a focus on where you want to go from here.
If you’re here, you might be feeling that gap between the life you’re living and the life you want. You’re not alone in this, and together, we can work to close that distance. The goal is to help you explore what’s been holding you back and to uncover the strengths and values that can guide you forward. Facing what’s uncertain can be daunting. It’s natural to want to avoid the things that bring discomfort or fear. But often, it’s in facing these challenges, side by side, that we discover our resilience.

Using the CBT framework we will look at how your thoughts, emotions and behaviour are all interlinked.
Hello and welcome to my page. Sometimes our problems can seem overwhelming and out of control. We may experience unhelpful thinking and act in ways that may be out of character. The hardest part can be reaching out and asking for help. The good news is counselling can benefit so many. I know from personal experience that talking therapy can have positive, long lasting effects. I offer online and sessions in nature.
