I see therapy as a process of discovery, healing, and growth. We will explore 'how' you are in relationships, make choices, and co-create your world through embodied dialogue. We will learn and play together. We will look at where you feel ‘stuck’ and what seems ‘difficult.’ We will connect with the embodied feelings and complexities that emerge, making space for deeper understanding and new possibilities.I believe that change happens when we have enough support, when we acknowledge our present situation, and commit to the work. My role is to walk WITH you as you reconnect with your aliveness, joy, spontaneity and creativity.

I’d like to begin by welcoming you and acknowledging the step it takes to begin therapy, especially if you have spent much of your life feeling “not good enough,” “too much,” or as though you don’t quite belong. I am a qualified Counsellor working primarily with anxiety and trauma, and I often support people who carry deep-rooted feelings of shame, inadequacy, or self-doubt that began in early life. When we grow up in environments where our emotional needs are not consistently met, we can internalise painful messages that continue to shape how we relate to ourselves and others in adulthood.

It’s not always easy to make space for yourself. Therapy can help give you that space, to finally slow down, reflect, and make sense of what’s been feeling difficult. I work with adults who want a supportive space to talk openly, better understand themselves, and navigate the challenges they’re facing.

I work with children, teenagers and young adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, eating difficulties, neurodiversity (including ADHD and autism), school avoidance, friendship issues, self-esteem, or major life changes.
My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each young person's needs. Drawing on psychodynamic therapy alongside evidence-informed approaches, I help children and young people understand difficult feelings, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop healthier ways of coping. Where appropriate, I also work closely with parents and carers

Hello and welcome! I'm Nicoletta, a qualified therapist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I offer in-person or online sessions if you prefer the comfort of your own space. My approach is based on the core principles of trauma-informed practice which means that I work within a non-hierarchical framework that offers safety, choices, collaboration, trustworthiness and transparency. As we do not live in a vacuum, I firmly believe in the importance of exploring sociocultural, environmental and economic factors that contribute to the origin and maintenance of psychological distress.

Art Therapist registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), and British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). Art Therapy could be a suitable option for you if you're looking to explore your experiences, navigate life's challenges and distress, and support your mental health through arts based expression. If you're looking for therapy that aligns with feminist values, meaning we acknowledge systemic oppression (sexism, racism, ableism, classism, hetrosexism etc) and the impacts of this on people’s mental health, we could be well suited to work together.

My Profile Introduction.
Taking the first step toward therapy is a profound act of self-care. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for a change, you have made an excellent choice in seeking support.
Who I Work With?
My ideal clients are individuals who feel ready to understand the "why" behind their struggles but need a supportive, structured space to figure out the "how." I work best with adults who are feeling disconnected from themselves or exhausted by life's demands, and who are looking for an authentic, collaborative partnership to regain control and find clarity.
