Changing anything starts with the decision to try! Ask yourself what you want from therapy. Do you need to discuss your thoughts? Do you need to discuss how you're feeling? Do you feel stuck with these issues? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is one way to effectively address this. Support is key here & working with me in CBT can aid change! You have to challenge to change and putting your trust in an experienced CBT Therapist is the first step to change & I assure you of a confidential & professional ear at all times. Work out what you want and need and go for it, get the help...you have everything to gain by putting yourself first!
If you're struggling with anxiety, if life has become confusing and difficult, if you're having relationship or family issues, if things just aren’t working out the way you want and the way you hoped, if you are depressed or feeling stuck, I offer a free initial consultation and assessment where we can talk about how you're experiencing life. I work with clients with a range of issues from the immediate and the specific to more long term hopes and wishes.
In my practice, I work with people who find it difficult to know and express what they want. I also work with clients who have experienced loss, trauma and displacement and therefore lack a sense of safety and belonging. I am experienced in working with people who find it challenging to regulate their emotions and fall into uncontrollable outbursts of confusion, anger, terror and worry. Finally, I specialise in working with individuals who struggle to form and sustain satisfying relationships and so suffer from feelings of worthlessness and emptiness.
The protective power of arts in health and mental health has been with us for millennia and today is evidence based. Daily life's emotional demands often go unnoticed and coping with anger, fear and sadness is socially accepted to happen in silence. Nourishing and protecting our mental health can get easily neglected. Although family and friends can play a wonderful supportive role in times of need they may not be enough in times of crisis. Making the choice to look after our mental health is our first step to personal growth. Making art is creative and fun. Being part of a supportive and safe group is therapeutic.
I offer a safe and facilitative space for you to think about what you need in order to feel better. An important part of that process is the relationship we develop and I will be with you each step of the way. I will listen, empathise, wonder with you, as well as laugh, cry, and get angry. Life is incredibly difficult at times. We could most likely all benefit from a space where we can share ourselves, our thoughts and feelings, and be shown acceptance. More than that, be shown care and understanding of what we are going through. If you feel that you would benefit from that kind of space, then please get in touch.
If you are interested in practical, professional, intuitive and creative solutions to your problems then I can probably help. I qualified 16 years ago as a psychotherapist and 18 years ago as a counsellor and have a long history of intuitive counselling and spiritual practice before this. The integrative psychotherapy I practice is informed by my spirituality and transpersonal training and education. My clients have a spectrum of mental health issues, from mild to complex and severe, who want to work with positive healing models towards wellness: adults, university students, those who want change and personal transformation.
I believe we all have our own unique story and personal challenges that can manifest in many ways, sometimes making it hard to move forward in life. You may have reached a crossroads in life and are feeling lost, lacking direction or purpose, or you may be grieving the loss of someone or something very precious to you. Maybe you are suffering with emotional distress that you are struggling to resolve alone. Whatever you may be going through, I am committed to being present with you, listening carefully and supporting you every step of the way.
I am a qualified psychotherapist (ECP), registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) with extensive experience in individual, couples and family psychotherapy and parenting counselling, in the United Kingdom and in Greece. To be listened to and accepted for where you are in your life is important. From practicing as a person centred counsellor for over 7 years, I believe that a safe, non-judgemental and compassionate approach is key for healing. Alongside listening, I offer counselling tools when needed to help. If you prefer, we can chat initially about counselling via mobile or email.

Their issues often include self esteem, anger and life meaning and purpose. Other areas of interest include grief, addiction, crises of meaning, spiritual emergence and emergency.

I think therapy is about understanding, developing and changing. I am a clinical psychologist with many years experience of working with adults to help them to identify what the issues are for them, understand where these issues have come from, and how to make changes which will improve how they feel about their lives. I work with people with anxiety and anxiety disorders, low mood, low self-esteem, low confidence and those living with the effects of traumatic experiences. I also offer comprehensive assessments for those who have yet to fully understand what is happening for them, to help move them on in their lives.
