Hello and Welcome. My name is Katie and I am a Counselling Psychologist, with a background in nursing, specialising in trauma. Trauma can often be related to shock or changes in feelings of anxiety, anger or depression. Trauma is not the same for everyone. If you are feeling overwhelmed or in distress, struggling with daily life, experiencing pain then the type of therapy I offer may be of help to you. Sometimes people present clinically with anxiety or depression, sleep problems, burnout. With 24 years of clinical experience in psychology, with a background in nursing, and from working in a range of settings from Psychiatry, Student Counselling, Employee Assistance Programmes and Lecturing, I have the experience of working with clients, both local and international, across the lifespan and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Getting Started: The first step is often the hardest step to make. Therefore, I offer a free initial 20 minute introductory meeting on zoom so if you would like to find out more, meet me in person, ask any questions this is available to request.
