Whether you are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, stress, life adjustments, relational issues, or other struggles with mental health, you deserve to be heard and supported. The isolation and confusion can feel overwhelming, but as long as you are dedicated to moving forward there is so much hope and so many possibilities for healing.

Are you constantly masking your neurodivergence until you feel entirely burnt out, or is your relationship with food and your body dictating your daily peace of mind? If you feel exhausted from trying to hold everything together, you are not alone. I work with a diverse range of clients but find that most of my clients come to me with neurodiversity challenges or disordered eating. These clients wish to learn more about their condition and how this affects them, wishing to explore their concerns and find ways of accepting and/ or implementing strategies to help them more with every day life.

I specialise in supporting adults who are feeling overwhelmed. Stress can happen with a sudden change such as bereavement, job loss or relationship ending. It can also build with an increase in responsibilities. There can be times when life is quiet, giving you time to remember difficult past events. These memories can be troubling and make everyday life difficult. Overwhelm can show up as anxiety, low mood, avoiding things you used to enjoy. Perhaps work is too much now, or your sleep pattern may have changed. Effective help is here now.

Sometimes we can feel sad, overwhelmed and stuck. We might not always know the reasons why, but we do know that we don’t want to stay feeling like this. Friends and family are not always available or the best people to speak with to get unbiased support. It may be a past trauma, a difficult childhood, an unhappy relationship, stress / anxiety / depression or bereavement & loss. You may have an ok or good relationship that you would like to make better, to understand your partner or be understood. You may be considering leaving your relationship but are not sure how to.

You're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply not yourself—and you're looking for real change, not just quick fixes. Maybe anxiety, self-doubt, or a difficult life transition is making it hard to feel grounded or move forward. You might be high-functioning on the outside, but inside you're exhausted and unsure where to turn. You want support from someone who truly sees you, listens without judgment, and helps you reconnect with your sense of self.

Hello, I'm Sarahanne. Here is a space where untangling the mess is welcome, growth is possible, and being human is enough. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or simply curious about who you are and what comes next, therapy offers a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with yourself and with what matters most. This isn’t about fixing you—because you’re not broken. It’s about understanding your story, gently exploring the patterns that no longer serve you, and making space for something new. You're not alone in this. Let’s start where you are.

I work with adults who are dealing with anxiety, low mood, trauma or relationship difficulties who want a grounded, collaborative approach. Many people come because they feel overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns or unsure how to talk about what’s really going on. I also have a particular interest in supporting men who feel pressure to “hold it together” or find it hard to open up. I offer a steady, non‑judgemental space to make sense of things and feel more in control.

Whether it is becoming a parent, or the kids leaving home; being diagnosed with a life altering illness; a family member receiving an autism diagnosis; going through the menopause or perhaps retiring.
I assume you have something you would like to talk privately to somebody about. I wonder what it is like to be you. Do you often feel alien, struggling to understand and be understood by others? Is finding friends and keeping them hard? Would you rather avoid groups whilst wanting to belong? Does change hit you hard? Do you feel distant from others and even yourself? And maybe answering seemingly simple questions, such as “how are you?” or “what do you need?” feels difficult. I have some idea of what that is like. I offer you acceptance within a non-judgemental, empathic therapeutic relationship.

What is the most effective treatment for autism?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has come to be considered the standard treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder, and research has confirmed its effectiveness for many children. Therapists trained in ABA techniques work with children (and their parents) on developing social skills, communication and learning abilities, and everyday habits of hygiene and grooming. The clinician will tailor their program to the child’s particular need but the overarching goal will be to help them advance as far as possible toward independence based on their level of symptoms and decrease the need for additional special services. Families should seek a mental health professional specifically trained in ABA, and holding special certification in the technique, who has extensive experience not only with the approach but in using it with children with the same level of symptoms as the child who needs care.

How does ABA work?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) sessions, which typically focus on positive reinforcement, can be intensive, lasting two or more hours several times a week, and continuing for two years or more. Therapists can also be expected to ask parents to take an active role in reinforcing lessons. Research has found that the technique can lead to major improvements that decrease the need for additional special services.

How does treatment for autism work?
Therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis will likely be frequent, intensive, and highly structured. After a thorough assessment, a therapist will help a child understand and develop skills in a range of areas, including communication, motor skills, social skills, self-care, play, and academic skills, as well as routines of daily living like hygiene. Typically, the therapist will help a child break down the components of a behavior—often referred to as the antecedent (what prompts an action), the behavior, and the consequence(what immediately follows)—and then reward the child at every step, while also asking parents to reinforce the lessons, and the rewards, throughout the day. This core therapy may be supplemented by occupational or speech therapy, and antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants may be prescribed to address specific severe symptoms.

How long does therapy for autism take?
Some people with autism spectrum disorder may be engaged in some level of therapy for many years, but research shows that treatment will be most effective if it is begun early and delivered intensively. When therapy begins by age 3, children tend to be better able to grasp and adopt the skills needed to manage everyday life, including attending school and establishing social relationships. This type of early-intervention treatment regimen is highly structured, typically involving 20 to 40 hours of one-on-one therapy per week, along with additional hours of engagement managed by parents, for a period of two years or more, although the duration of treatment is dependent on the child’s level of symptoms and pace of progress.
