I welcome neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients.
Are you feeling stuck, low, anxious or just not sure how to cope? That what your are going through is just too hard to manage alone? Sometimes an outside perspective is what we need to help us get out of the rut and on to even ground. I work with people who have realised something has to change and are looking for support with how to change it.

Hello, I’m Cat — a registered member of the BACP and an integrative therapist offering a warm and gentle space where you can feel truly heard and supported. I believe that no two people are the same, so I adapt the way I work to suit your individual needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to support you in the way that feels most helpful. My approach is calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin — sometimes, just having a safe space to talk can bring relief and clarity. Together, we can explore, at your pace and in your own way

I especially welcome LGBTQ+ clients and have a special interest in old age/ageing within our community with an affirmative and inclusive outlook.
We all need to feel that we are being seen, that our voice is being heard, in safe and empathetic company. If you are in distress, confused or isolated, I will see and hear you as a whole person, not just as an issue or concern. I will support you by holding a space for you to breathe and reflect on worries, anxieties or uncertainties that may be holding you back and explore ways forward to fulfil your potential. Healing can be found in creativity, used as another form of expression when words run out.

Many people come to me for my experience of working with trauma, members of the LGBT/disability communities, being neurodivergent, and inclusive practice stance.
I work with people who find themselves overthinking everything; who are overwhelmed; who avoid and shut down. I also work with people who never feel good enough, as well as those who find that their past continues to affect their lives and relationships in the here and now. I provide a non-judgemental, empathetic space to look at the core issues and build the tools needed to work through, transform, and break the cycles keeping people stuck. If you find yourself repeating the same patterns, despite maybe having tried to figure it out yourself or with help before, I'm happy to find a time to chat and see if this therapy could help.

Hello, I'm Sarahanne. Here is a space where untangling the mess is welcome, growth is possible, and being human is enough. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or simply curious about who you are and what comes next, therapy offers a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with yourself and with what matters most. This isn’t about fixing you—because you’re not broken. It’s about understanding your story, gently exploring the patterns that no longer serve you, and making space for something new. You're not alone in this. Let’s start where you are.

From time to time, life (experiences and circumstances) throws us off-course. Many a times, we can resolve the problems independently, however, sometimes we find ourselves struggling with a whole host of emotions that can make us feel trapped, sad, confused, hopeless or helpless thereby rendering us unable and/or incapable of managing out day to day lives.

Pain, manifests in many varied ‘illnesses’. Whether they be Physical or Psychological. It could be Arthritis, ADHD, Addictions, or Mental Ill Health. The root cause is always some environmental trigger, whether in childhood or adulthood. The Medical Institutions treat only the symptoms of this pain, not the causes. Pharmacotherapy can be beneficial in the short term, to alleviate intense physical or psychic pain, but Western Medicine, has demonstrably failed, to address the causes and manifestations, of chronic illness: physical or psychological. I offer an initial Assessment of cause and create a comprehensive, self care plan.

LGBTQ+ Counsellors
Do LGBTQ-affirmative therapists receive special training?
Yes. Many therapists who practice LGBTQ-affirmative therapy have completed specialised training, either during their degree programme or as continuing education, to learn the core principles of affirmative therapy and how to best support their LGBTQ clients; some have received certifications in LGBTQ-affirmative therapy. Prospective clients should inquire as to a clinician’s background and training to ensure a good fit.

Why might I want to see an LGBTQ-affirming or LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
Queer and gender-non-conforming individuals frequently experience bias and marginalisation in day-to-day life. Working with a therapist who understands these unique challenges, as well as accepts and affirms their identity, can help LGBTQ clients feel safe and supported during therapy—allowing them to better navigate their relationships, mental health, and anything else that they wish to explore during therapy. It is important to note that many therapists can be effective in their work with LGBTQ+ individuals, even in the absence of specific training or background knowledge. The most important component in therapy is the alliance between therapist and client, and this alliance can exist between individuals with very different backgrounds.

How can I find an LGBTQ-friendly therapist?
You may wish to inquire about a therapist’s expertise with your specific challenges or concerns—depression, for example, or relationship strife—as well as their past experiences treating LGBTQ+ clients. Prospective clients may also ask whether a therapist has obtained additional training and/or certification in LGBTQ-affirmative techniques.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience with LGBTQ issues?
Prospective clients should feel empowered to directly ask therapists whether they have received training or been certified in LGBTQ-affirming therapy; competent therapists will be happy to explain their educational background and preferred approach(es) to help a client find the best match for them. Clients may also wish to ask how a therapist has treated clients with their particular challenges in the past and what they expect treatment to look like.

Are all the therapists listed in the LGBTQ directory themselves members of the LGBTQ community?
While therapists may choose to disclose their sexual orientation or gender identity in their profiles, the LGBTQ directory features not only those who have shared this information but also those who assert specialised training or experience in providing support to queer individuals, couples or families.
