It's OK to not be OK... Everyone struggles sometimes, and when we are struggling, one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is to talk to someone about our struggles. My aim is to help you. I have experienced therapy from both sides of the equation and, like you, have struggled with my own difficulties. I believe that all of us have the potential to develop and become who we are supposed to be. Sometimes it takes some digging and self exploration to reach that goal, and I offer walk alongside you as you to do this.

I work with gender, sexual, and relationship diversity (GSRD), including LGBTQIA+ counselling, kink-aware therapy, and non-monogamous relationship support.
Sex is like cooking: a creative, messy process that never turns out quite the same way twice; the pleasure lies in the experience, not in the final result. Yet sex is so difficult to talk about, and for many, sex can feel stressful, painful, or disconnected. You may struggle with desire, performance, or pleasure, longing to feel confident and connected again. Together, we can explore concerns such as desire, sexual pain, vaginismus, orgasmic difficulties, erections, ejaculation, sexuality, sexual confidence, and many other areas with compassion, curiosity, and understanding.

I’m Dr Luke, a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist offering online therapy across the UK. I work with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or highly self-critical, often during periods of change in health, work, or relationships. Many of the people I help are thoughtful and capable on the outside, yet struggle internally with pressure, doubt, or feeling disconnected from what really matters to them. Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, make sense of patterns, and begin living more in line with your values.

Hello. I am Louise, a Person-Centred Counsellor, working in Glasgow. I offer sessions online, over the phone, and in person, based in the city centre.
Some people I support have a specific goal they would like to work towards. Others seek out counselling because of a more general feeling, of life being not quite how they would like it to be. The direction and the pace of counselling are based on what feels right for you.

I am sex-positive and kink-aware.
I offer individual psychotherapy for adults, with a particular interest in psychologically complex and often hard-to-speak-about experiences. My work commonly involves shame, guilt, and self-criticism; patterns that repeat despite insight or effort; sexuality, desire, and taboo; the impact of sexual harm; sexual behaviour that feels troubling or conflicted; questions of gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity; and difficulties in relationships and intimacy. My approach is exploratory, and suited to people who want to think more deeply about what is troubling them.

You might feel stuck in patterns that you can't seem to break free of, or have difficulty connecting with other people, or feeling true intimacy. You might have been putting on a 'mask' to go out to work and function in the world, but underneath are living with pain in various forms: depression, anxiety, grief or anger. If you feel motivated to make changes but don't know where to start, then psychotherapy might be right for you. With time, as you start to feel safe enough to talk in depth about the things that have been troubling you, therapy can become a very real relationship of trust and openness.

We aren't meant to fit into boxes. I believe that you are the expert of yourself and that my role is to help you explore whatever you bring in a nonjudgmental way with awareness, curiosity, and support. What brings you here today? Sometimes we seek therapy because we need someone to listen without judgment. Other times, we may feel that we have lost ourselves, or are trying to figure out who we want to be going forward. While there is no magic wand to get there in an instant, my practice style is to come alongside you and hold a safe space for you on your therapeutic journey.

You might be someone who thinks deeply—but ends up stuck in loops of overthinking. Replaying conversations, second-guessing decisions, lying awake trying to “figure things out”, yet never quite getting relief.
I specialise in working with people caught in patterns of rumination and anxiety. Often thoughtful and self-aware, they still feel stuck.
Together, we’ll understand what keeps these patterns going and find ways to step out of them—so you can feel clearer, calmer, and more in control.

Sex-Positive, Kink Allied Counsellors
Why might an individual want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
A sex-positive or kinky individual may want to see a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist because the client may feel safer and more supported discussing their experiences and challenges. A therapist who identifies as kink-friendly will have experience with clients having diverse sexual preferences and will likely be nonjudgmental and supportive about issues brought to the table. It is important to note that sex-positive, kink-allied individuals may find equal success with therapists who do not have such specialised knowledge and background. The most important factor in the success of therapy is for the client and practitioner to form a strong, trusting bond.
Do therapists have special training to gain expertise in sex-positive, kink-allied treatment?
Generally, no. There are limited training programs and unofficial accreditations that therapists can pursue, but a therapist’s expertise will ultimately come from their previous experience with similar clients, their engagement with organisations that promote sex positivity or kink-allied lifestyles, and the importance they place on safety and cultural sensitivity.
How can individuals recognise a good sex-positive, kink-allied therapist?
An experienced therapist is able to help clients explore their sexual identity and expression and relieve any discomfort or stigma attached to discussing such matters and the client’s overall challenges. A therapist who is sex-positive and kink-allied is able to create an environment that honors a client’s experience and sexual preferences. To recognise a good therapist, clients can simply ask directly about topics and issues important to them and gauge their comfort level and connection with a clinician based on the responses.
Can clients benefit from having a therapist with a focus on sex positivity and alternative sexual lifestyles?
Some individuals may feel most comfortable knowing that the clinician they’re working with has a commitment to creating an atmosphere of sex positivity and has experience with relationship diversity and alternative relationship structures. Working with a sex-positive, kink-allied therapist may help clients respect their own challenges and improve identity-affirming treatment.
