I am a fully qualified Art Psychotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapist (BAAT). I specialise working with children, adolescents, families and mothers. Art psychotherapy is a form of therapy that uses art making as a way to express yourself, as well as speaking. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected and supporting trauma safely, emotional expression and psychological well-being. The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my practice, based on trust to grow confident to explore feelings, experiences and relationships.
I have five years experience in multiple clinical settings working with individuals and children, adolescents, adults and families. These include primary and secondary schools, hospices, mother's groups and charities. My areas of speciality are working with children, supporting people with ADHD and autism and families.
My main areas of focus is: working with children, young people and families and offering parents bespoke sessions to help them support their children, equipping them with practical tools they can implement to improve relationships and communication within the family.

Kids Group (autism, ADHD, anxiety, shyness,anger)
I run a small kids group that runs on Wednesday afternoons from 5-5.50pm that includes children with autism, ADHD, selective mutism and shyness. Maximum number of kids 4 per session. Children range from the ages of 7-13. £30 per child.

Art for Wellbeing 5 Sep I 19 Sep I 17 Oct 2024
Join art psychotherapist Sarah in the Cloister garden at The Order of St John to engage in art for wellbeing activities. Participants will be guided through activities that incorporate history, the garden, art-making and conversation. These sessions aim to: develop self-awareness; balance body and mind; and bring more joy, connection and fulfilment to daily experience. Any questions please email museum@sja.org.uk The sessions are inclusive and accessible. Doors open at 17:30 and the session will begin at 18:00. Tickets must be pre-booked on Eventbrite.
