About
Park Lane Therapy is a local, independent counselling service based in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire. Within easy reach of Blackpool and the Fylde Coast, Preston and Lancaster. Park Lane Therapy is a small private practice run by myself, Sarah Mortimer, a qualified and BACP registered Therapist. After working within a number of third sector organisations and NHS settings, I now offer some limited private work, in my own therapy practice based at home. I currently specialise in working with adults (aged 16 and above) experiencing issues such as anxiety, low mood and depression, attachment/relationship issues and many more.
I primarily offer person centred counselling, a talking therapy based on the assumption that clients should have a non judgmental, accepting relationship with the therapist. Person centred counselling appeals to many, as it is client led, and enables you to develop the inner resource to address negative patterns of thinking, and to bring about growth.
Please feel free to get in touch should you wish to explore therapy further. I understand that the variety of counsellors and types of therapy can feel vast and confusing, so I am more than happy to discuss counselling and what it is I offer over the telephone, or via email, before you make your decision on whether to proceed with an initial assessment.
