Hi. My name is Dr. Sarah MacLean. I’m a highly trained Clinical Psychologist with over 14 years experience providing a professional psychology service based in Chelmsford, Essex and also online. I work with people with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties including but not limited to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, childhood abuse, grief, relationship and interpersonal difficulties. I will work collaboratively with you in order to help you understand your difficulties and distress and help you find relief and make the changes towards the life you seek.
I offer a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). The changes we will work towards will depend on what you expect from therapy, from helping to understand your problems to working through painful past or current issues.
Emotional difficulties can be incredibly distressing to experience. I ensure I develop a safe, non-judgemental and compassionate space for you to feel able to discuss the problems you face and the experiences you have been through. I take a down to earth and active approach rather than just listening, working together with you to meet your individual goals.
