Hello, my name is Helen and firstly I would like to say that I understand that life can be difficult to navigate and at times can overwhelm you. It can be hard to understand and come to terms with, you may feel stuck and alone with no one to turn to and you may be seeking counselling for any number of reasons but there is usually an underlying sense that "things are going wrong” or we are “unable to cope”. As a person-centred therapist I offer the space and time to allow you to explore what is happening for you and to help you find a way to make sense of feelings and reactions to life events.
I specialise in anxiety and trauma related issues. I offer a safe space where we can talk through the things that are concerning you. I also offer expressive therapies, such as art and craft , writing or journaling. We can work together to find ways in to help manage anxiety, panic attacks, flashbacks or intrusive thoughts in a safe way.
I believe everyone is unique and the journey that you take will be "your" journey. You may decide to take this journey as an individual, couple or even a small group. I would be happy to help you decide what's best for you. Lots of people get anxious about approaching therapy, but it can help you work through issues and gain a greater level of understanding
