Counselling can be the first step toward better self care and prioritising your own needs. It can help with understanding the choices you have in life. It can be used to work on issues such as anxiety, depression or anger. It can be helpful to look at the past and understand how it impacts the present. Re-framing this can lead to a better understanding and maybe less self blame or shame. We can carry burdens which aren't ours to carry and counselling can be a safe place to explore this. It can help for the management of difficult relationships in our lives.
I am trained in Integrative Counselling which means I can offer different techniques depending on what is useful for the client. I have also participated in a Pattern changing Course which has helped me understand the dynamics of unhealthy relationships and why we get stuck in them. I am now offering couples therapy.
I offer an empathic, non judgmental space to explore any issues the client brings. I am positive about using the telephone and Zoom for online work and think it can make it more accessible. I value counselling as I have found it very useful for myself and my development as a person. I think it has the potential to be life changing.
