About
If you're reading this, it's likely that you're feeling the need to seek some help and support in your life, and perhaps make some changes. You may have something specific that you're looking to change or gain help with. It may be that you're feeling stuck, experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety, uncertainty and/or feeling overwhelmed. Counselling can be an incredibly valuable tool to help, regardless of the issue. I am experienced in working with clients dealing with and experiencing a wide range of issues. These include, but are not limited to problems in relationships, self esteem, bereavement, anxiety and depression.
I work as an integrative therapist, I am trained in and incorporate 3 established psychotherapy and counselling approaches in my practice. These are Psychodynamic, Person Centred and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). I am able to adapt the most beneficial aspects of these approaches to tailor my work to your individual needs.
It is essential that your counsellor is someone with whom you feel safe and able to share important parts of your life with, I understand this can be a difficult and daunting process. In order to facilitate this, our initial meeting will be for you to get to know me and for us both to gain a sense of whether you feel comfortable with us working together.
