You’ve been holding a lot for a long time- family, expectations, relationship difficulties, trauma, work - and on top of that, you’re tired of feeling like you have to explain your culture, background or faith before people “get” you. Maybe you’ve tried to open up before and ended up feeling judged, misunderstood, or like you had to hide parts of yourself. It’s exhausting, and you just want a space where you can turn up and be accepted and understood. I’m an integrative therapist and psychologist, and I work a lot with people from ethnic minority backgrounds who are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, past trauma, grief, relationship strain, and identity or cultural conflict. My approach is evidence-informed and gentle, but also clear and practical.
Sessions are calm, collaborative, and shaped around your values and context. You’re welcome to bring your faith into the room, or not, depending on what feels right for you. We might focus on things like easing overthinking and physical anxiety, setting boundaries without guilt, softening harsh self-criticism, and rebuilding a sense of safety and self-trust.
