I work with individuals who are wanting to understand their emotional health further and to make sustainable and meaningful change to reduce experiences of distress. We work together with curiosity to explore life experiences both past and present to understand how these may have shaped and guided life choices and emotional experiences. We work through specific concerns, beliefs and behaviours which may be causing or maintaining your distress and find ways to make helpful changes to improve emotional well-being.
I am trained in a range of evidence based psychological models including CBT, CAT, ACT and aspects of Narrative Therapy. I draw on aspects of all of these to ensure that my interventions are tailored to your specific needs. I can also consider the systems within which we exist and explore the influences of dominant social narratives on your wellbeing.
Taking the first step to seek help with your emotional difficulties can feel daunting. I offer a safe, confidential space for you explore your emotional experiences and to consider making the changes in your life that you want to. You can use our consultation session to decide if we would work well together - I offer these for free
