You are probably looking at my profile because you, your child or someone you love is finding life difficult at the moment. Deciding to get some professional help can be really daunting and at times can feel like another thing that is stressful.
I am here to support you and give you space you to talk and think about the things that feel difficult. Together we will work through the everyday problems you face and think about what is happening under the surface of those problems. Gradually working through and coming to understand why we feel the way we do can enable us to move towards healing even the most difficult experiences.
I work with adults (see above), teens and children. My work with children is in person and play-based, I work from home in a fully equipped therapeutic play room which is designed to enable children to express their feelings without necessarily using words.
With teens I work in ways that they choose, perhaps creatively or talking based, giving them ownership of their therapy. I also offer sessions to parents who are struggling with their children / teens. These sessions can support parents who are finding things difficult and can also be be effective for helping parents whose children are resistant to therapy.
