When we work together, you are at the centre of all we do. Perhaps you're at a point in life where you can't see a way forward. You may have been bereaved and lost the hope you've had. You might be experiencing stress at work and feel 'burnt out' with nothing left to give. These, and a host of other everyday life situations can come out of the blue and have a huge impact, throwing everything into chaos. I have almost 10 years experience of working with female/male adult clients and understand the pressures we all face, because, as a counsellor, I am not immune to them either, including living with a long-term illness.
I give you time and space to talk, listen attentively, and 'sit' with you until you are ready to take the next tentative steps towards the future. Much of my focus has been on supporting people who've lost loved ones, older people, and those who want to build better relationships with a partner, family or friends', but is not exclusively my skill set.
My aim is to help you explore your circumstances and find a way through the jumble of thoughts and feelings you are probably noticing. Because you are an individual, the way I work with you will be personalised to you. I will look at who you are, your background and what your specific needs are.
