I believe that when people connect, change can happen. I work face to face in centre of York or online across the UK. If your experiences are weighing on you and you feel working with someone neutral may help I could be a good fit for you. I work in a trauma informed way; treating your past experiences with compassion and care, and together we can work towards how you would like your life to be now; safe and connected. Maybe life just isn't how you would like it to be and you're trying to make sense of past experiences on your own. I may be able to help. I am a tutor at Leeds University and I hold two places for trainee therapists.
I work with people who have experienced difficult times in their lives - maybe a single traumatic event or relationship - or an entire childhood. I work with Boarding School survivors, victims of sexual and domestic abuse and those who just want life to improve. I work with talk and creative methods (sand) to support your feelings of safety and connection.
Being alone with difficult thoughts and feelings is exceptionally isolating. I offer a place to begin to connect in a meaningful way that is a first step to healing. Our work models how it may be to begin to connect to others. I teach on the MA Psychotherapy and Counselling at Leeds University and support new therapists. I hold two places for trainees.
