A warm welcome from me. It can feel a daunting task to start therapy – finding the right person and making contact and meeting for the first time. It is a brave step, and it is the first step to finding a space where you can talk and feel listened to and not feel judged. I work with a people from all walks of life, who are facing a variety of issues.
I will provide a calm and supportive space for you to explore what is going on for you. I draw on my professional training as a counsellor and a range of theories and ideas and my own experiences as a client, to find the best way to support you. I work openly and transparently and will bring into the room differences between us that may influence the work.
Counselling can be about supporting people who feel they are in crisis, as well as people wanting to reflect on their lives, their selves, identity and relationships. It may mean tears, as well as laughter, but requires commitment and active participation from you.
