If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or searching for meaning, you’re not alone. Life’s struggles can leave us feeling adrift, as if something unseen stands between us and the life we want to live. I’ve felt that way, too. My own experience in therapy has shown me the impact of being truly understood. Therapy, to me, is more than a place to talk - it’s where genuine transformation can begin. You may be facing anxiety, depression, past trauma, or relationship issues, or perhaps there’s simply a sense that life could be different. Together, we can explore what feels silenced or neglected and help you find a new way forward.

Taking the time to come to counselling is a commitment to yourself, can be incredibly hard work and often takes great courage. Whatever your focus for therapy, I will offer you compassion and hold the hope for you when you’re unable to see that things can, and will, get better. My personal experience of life – and death – has taught me that we are each unique individuals with diverse experiences, impacting us in different ways. What helps us through those difficult times can be different from person to person, and it can change as we come across new challenges. I will stay alongside you whilst we navigate these challenges together.

As a UK-based Health Psychologist, I specialise in working with people who live with a complex physical health condition who may be having psychological difficulties.
I understand living with a long-term condition is hard. The journey to receiving the diagnosis can be hard and traumatic. Adjusting to the new reality of managing a health condition and coping with the impact it has on your mood or anxiety, it's not easy.
I get really excited about working with people who are keen to understand why they think and feel the way they do, and importantly want to learn ways of coping to live the best life possible with their condition.

Hi, I am Dr Kerry Ware and I am an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. I have 19 years of qualified experience in providing psychological assessment and therapy to adults with a wide range of difficulties and have worked in the NHS for over 20 years. I am currently the lead for Breast Cancer Psychology in Sheffield where I offer specialist assessment, formulation and treatment of psychological distress in relation to having/having had breast cancer. Many people describe finding it difficult to get ‘back to normal' especially once treatment ends, even though they want to move forwards and feel more like themselves again.

I work with mid life women who for a whole variety of reasons known or unknown to them have become stuck and lost and are looking for a space to unpick what is going on for them. Women who are feeling like they no longer fit or don't want to fit into the roles they find themselves in... Is this it for me now? Is a common question I hear in the room. Women who have lost their joy. Women who are grieving. Grieving the loss of relationships, divorce, children leaving, a diagnosis, a life they thought they would have, or a loved one would have had.

I believe every individual has deep inherent dignity and that people are worth caring for. Yet we live in a world where we will suffer, some of us in deep and profound ways. I meet with many clients who have complex trauma or are working through challenges related to family or church hurt. They all desire to experience life differently, to heal and be renewed. Many of my clients also desire to work with a counsellor who has a Christian perspective and can offer insights on difficulties with Christian community.
