Counselling in S6
I love working with clients who are seeking connection, support and a greater understanding of themselves. I can support individuals online or face to face in walking therapy. Walking therapy provides the chance to connect with nature, and self-regulate whilst benefiting from movement and grounding in a different more natural setting. I can work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, stress and many other issues.

Hello I am Claire. Are you struggling with how you see yourself? You might find that you experience self-doubt and anxiety. Do you feel you judge yourself harshly and are your worst critic. Maybe you are having difficulties with close relationships or notice patterns in your life which you feel are holding you back. Are these difficulties affecting your day-to-day life or your relationships? You might be tired of feeling anxious and uncertain and find that you are comparing yourself to others. In my experience these can be hard ways to live and counselling can help you understand yourself be less critical of yourself.

I am an accredited person-centred and experiential psychotherapist and counsellor. In addition to this, I had 28 years experience as a Registered Mental Nurse, working primarily with people who have substance use problems. I completed an MSc in Person Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy in 2017 and have worked in an NHS staff support service as a counsellor since then, alongside my private practice. My approach is based on offering a compassionate, non judgmental approach within a safe environment in the hope that this will allow clarity, reinforce current coping mechanisms and foster future growth. I charge on a sliding scale.

You might be coming to therapy feeling overwhelmed, confused, or questioning yourself — not because there is something wrong with you, but because you’ve been carrying too much for too long. Many people I work with have spent years trying to cope alone or feeling misunderstood. Therapy can be a space to feel validated, understood, and less alone with what you’re experiencing. I offer a calm, compassionate and grounding space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of your experiences at your own pace -by listening deeply, reflecting what I notice, and gently asking questions that support self-understanding.

I am a Jungian art psychotherapist. I work with adults and children who may be experiencing grief, bereavement, end-of-life concerns, identity questions, anxiety, low mood, or feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed.
My practice specialises in cross-cultural and spiritual care, supporting you to explore the meaning of your experiences in a way that honours your background, beliefs, and personal truth.
Art therapy can help deepen self-understanding, support emotional processing, and create space for a new perspective. This might involve drawing, painting, collage, sculpting, or movement.

Is something in your life feeling stuck? Together we can look at what the stuckness is and untangle it. I offer a warm space where you can be yourself, in full acceptance. A nurturing remote environment where we can build trust within the therapeutic relationship to help you explore whatever it is you bring into the room. As someone with lived experience of Autism and ADHD I have an awareness and understanding of processing needs and how this may come into play during sessions. I wish for you to be comfortable during counselling, we can discuss any adjustments needed. I am non-binary and use they/them pronouns.

Whether or not you personally use the term "trauma", you might feel or wonder if you’re carrying elements of pain and difficulty from your past. You may feel unable to set boundaries, and end up people-pleasing, resentful, or emotionally exhausted. Perhaps you reach burnout because you often prioritise everyone else’s needs above your own, either at home or work. Often my clients find themselves saying “yes” when you really want to say “no” or carrying negative relationship patterns from earlier experiences.

Hi, I'm an integrative counsellor and I draw from relational approaches including person centred, with the aim to create conditions of trust, safety and honesty and a collaborative working relationship where clients might feel free to establish and work towards their own goals. I value difference and individuality and may draw on a number of other approaches to best fit the person or the presenting issue. Counselling may feel like a big step and it can feel challenging but it can also help to enhance self-awareness, self-understanding and begin to create the possibility for different choices, or simply self-acceptance.
