Hi I'm Lindsay and I specialise in working with Anxiety and low self-esteem. I am a qualified Integrative Therapist. I work with many issues but specialise in improving confidence and mood, and lowering anxiety & stress. I realised how effective CBT was in working with Anxiety & Low Self-Esteem very early in my career in my very first placement! I trained further and view CBT as a major strategy in my model, along with Assertivness Training and Counselling. Prior to establishing my own business I was an associate at Sheffield CBT Practice and Cornerstone Therapy Centre, both well-established practices in Sheffield.

Life throws challenges at us, and sometimes these are difficult. We go through transitions and change, we experience loss, and our relationships can be troublesome. This can affect our confidence and self-esteem. I work in a non-judgemental and empathic way, led by you, to together understand your experiences and work collaboratively to overcome the difficulties you may be facing. I have experience working with a variety of issues, like stress, depression & anxiety, bereavement and more. Those labels might apply to you, they might not. You might just have "some stuff" you want to talk about, and I'm here for you too.

Do you feel like you are not yourself lately? Work or study is going well but you are ‘off your game’ at times and find yourself demotivated? Maybe the idea of social gatherings makes you feel anxious? Or friends have noticed something has changed in you. This can make you feel isolated and alone like no one understands. Perhaps you are finishing study or making a career change and are unsure of where you are going now. Do you struggle to be ‘truly you’ around family and friends who judge your choices? I offer a warm, inclusive, relaxed space where you can feel safe, accepted and understood.

Through working with you in a safe, accepting way I can help you gain a fresh perspective on what has been troubling you. Building on this, we can work together to help you make positive, lasting changes to your behaviour and state of mind. Due to my previous career, I specialise in helping with the issues that can arise from the demands of high-pressure work in both business and creative settings.

Nice to meet you! I'm Cass. An integrative therapist based in South Yorkshire currently offering online, telephone and face to face sessions. Here to collaborate and help people with any support they may be looking for. My approach with therapy is the ideology of taking the clinical, cold side out of the equation and creating something that people can really feel free to be themselves in. I understand that it can be hard to take the first step, and even harder to do the work. I can help support you with that journey, in a judgement free and safe space to heal and grow.

Taking the time to come to counselling is a commitment to yourself, can be incredibly hard work and often takes great courage. Whatever your focus for therapy, I will offer you compassion and hold the hope for you when you’re unable to see that things can, and will, get better. My personal experience of life – and death – has taught me that we are each unique individuals with diverse experiences, impacting us in different ways. What helps us through those difficult times can be different from person to person, and it can change as we come across new challenges. I will stay alongside you whilst we navigate these challenges together.

Hi, I'm an integrative counsellor and I draw from relational approaches including person centred, with the aim to create conditions of trust, safety and honesty and a collaborative working relationship where clients might feel free to establish and work towards their own goals. I value difference and individuality and may draw on a number of other approaches to best fit the person or the presenting issue. Counselling may feel like a big step and it can feel challenging but it can also help to enhance self-awareness, self-understanding and begin to create the possibility for different choices, or simply self-acceptance.

Hello, I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, CAT Therapist and Coach. I am passionate about working with people in the way that they find most helpful. We can all find ourselves at a point in our lives when things are not how we’d like them to be. We can be caught up in negative patterns, experience difficult symptoms (such as struggling with sleep or anxiety, feeling low or stressed) and have difficulties with our relationships, work or our health. We may have experienced something traumatic or stressful that we struggle to cope with or find ourselves caught up in a negative situation that we don’t seem to be able to escape.

It can sometimes seem worrying to share your deepest, most personal thoughts and feelings. I'm here to offer a warm, welcoming and confidential therapeutic space where you will have your time to talk and where hopefully we can build a trusting therapeutic relationship, one in which you can feel comfortable to share your worries and thoughts. Every client and every therapeutic process is different and I will always value you as a unique individual, with the utmost respect for the journey you have navigated and the place you find yourself in now.

I have a deep trust in the healing capacity that a counselling relationship can provide. I believe each individual brings with them their own qualities & experiences, everyone is unique. Seeing beyond labels to the person, I recognize that it is the individual that knows themself best. I strive to build relationships in which clients say they feel empowered & listened to as I offer an attentive, understanding and accepting space. The nature of my counselling practice allows the individuals I work with to acquire compassion & gentleness for self, to develop healthy boundaries that allow personal growth and healing.

How can I find a therapist in S1?
Search for nearby therapists or counsellors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or postcode; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or postcode into the search bar.

Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online or over the phone can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.
What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counsellors are all licensed mental health professionals. In many countries, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counsellor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counsellors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
What type of therapist is right for me?
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counsellor who can offer short-term, targeted support.
Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counselling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
