Do you often feel a sense of guilt or shame around food? Do thoughts of food become intrusive or overwhelming? Are you often binging or eating until you feel uncomfortable or sick? Perhaps you are fixated on 'healthy' or 'clean' eating? Maybe you 'purge' by excessively exercising, restricting, making yourself sick, using laxatives, or have a history of yo-yo dieting? Perhaps you avoid whole food groups and are often called a 'fussy' or 'picky' eater? Or a combination of any of the above? It sounds like you are struggling with an Eating Disorder!
Book an Initial Appointment via my website today to discuss how trauma-focused therapy can help you gently process the events that led to your disordered eating. I work with ARFID, Binge Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, Orthorexia, and EDNOS. We collaborate with teens aged 15 - 17, and adults 18+, both online and in my West End Edinburgh practice.
Know that you are worthy of recovery; no trauma or event is "too small" to bring. Trauma impacts everyone, and we don't all get the permission, support, or compassion to recover. Shed the shame, and book an Initial Appointment today!

I work predominantly from a Schema Therapy model, meaning we process the trauma and adversity that led to your Eating Disorder developing safely and collaboratively. We set as many sessions as feels useful for you, and I usually see clients weekly or fortnightly. As we process your trauma, we will see your ED alleviate, and I often refer my clients to a registered Eating Disorder Dietician.
