I am passionate about helping people to understand and unstick difficult patterns in their lives. When traumatic or stressful events happen, we make sense of them as best we can at the time. Sometimes this leaves us with ways of feeling and coping that don’t work as well in our current lives, maybe causing problems in our relationships or with our wellbeing. I help people struggling with anxiety, grief, low self-esteem and other problems to find new ways of coping, and to work towards living a more fulfilling and balanced life. If you are feeling overwhelmed or stuck, I can offer a space to step back and find a new way forward.
I offer a range of therapeutic approaches which can be tailored to meet your needs. I specialise in using compassion-focused approaches to help people to develop new ways of understanding and working with their problems. I also draw on CBT and ACT. We can think together about what approach to therapy suits you best and use this to explore new ways of coping.
Reaching out to a therapist can be really a tricky, but important, first step. I offer a free 15-minute consultation as a space for us to start getting to know one another and to help you get a feel for what working together might be like.
