Hi. There are many reasons why people come for counselling. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, isolated. Perhaps you have lost someone dear to you or you may be trying to come to terms with past events. Counselling with me can be a place to safely offload and explore some of the things you are carrying. I will aim to work at your pace. Clients have described me as easy to talk to, calm, gentle and caring. I have supported clients with many difficulties including sexual abuse, bereavement, self esteem, depression, anxiety, finding your voice and developing a stronger sense of self.
I have worked for a specialist charity, counselling survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence. I work with loss and bereavement. Together we can reflect on how your experiences have affected you and what you would like to change, aiming to increase self awareness, autonomy and wellbeing.
I realise choosing the right counsellor can be difficult. To help you with this I offer a free 15 minute no obligation phone call to discuss your hopes for counselling and so you can get a sense of how it would be to work with me. Please email or call me to arrange this or to ask for more information. I look forward to hearing from you.
