I am a BACP accredited Psychotherapist, Couples Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapist, trained in EFT and NLP, a Yoga Teacher and Sound Therapy Practitioner. I work within private practice with adults and young people face to face and remotely on a short or long-term basis within a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space. When working with individuals I work with what each individual brings to counselling. Some of the issues
I work with include:- depression, anxiety, stress, loss and bereavement, university life and homesickness, low self-confidence, worth and esteem.
Central to the process is the therapeutic relationship – based upon authenticity, empathy and respect. Grounded in a person-centred tradition. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means that I draw from different theoretical approaches in order to meet the needs of each individual client in a unique and personal way.
I am a Trauma informed EMDR Therapist and use EMDR to help people process Trauma and PTSD. I also work collaboratively with couples helping enable them to develop an awareness and undertaking of their deeper issues, which underline the problems that they are facing, along with awareness of practical interventions they can make to break negative patterns.
