It is a courageous step to reach out to a therapist and, in recognition of this, I have wholeheartedly devoted over 30 years of my life to helping people create real and lasting change. I have completed a vast amount of psychological training and am guided by extensive experience in really hearing the parts of my clients’ experience which are keeping them ‘stuck’ or are barriers to happiness. I help people to understand crucial scientific findings about how the brain affects our happiness and I use the most effective techniques to help clients become liberated from unhelpful repetitive behaviours or thought patterns.
It’s wonderful to see people feeling better quickly and finding a real way forward, which is simpler than we often realise. This often doesn’t take more than a handful of sessions and the insights gained empower my clients to care for their inner world in a way which is not only effective and exciting but usually leads to permanent and ongoing change.
I see clients in my peaceful home at the foot of the Pentland Hills. I feel hugely privileged to share the inner world of people who come to see me and work hard to honour this trust by nurturing my awareness of the various crucial elements for creating happiness.
