I’m an experienced psychotherapist & counsellor offering individual therapy; I provide both short-term and open-ended therapy. Alongside my private practice, I work at a community counselling in Waterloo. I have experience working with a wide range of issues and have helped people from various nationalities, backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. I have previously worked at the Holloway prison in London, YMCA, for institutions in Greece, India, and Nepal. My extensive experience working with various people and presentations supports my understanding and compassion of mental and physical conditions.
I work from a primarily psychodynamic perspective, which means exploring the root of patterns and behaviours and understanding how they continue to play out. This can help bring insight into yourself and how you relate to others, which can, in turn, help build resilience and confidence and bring relief and understanding to current difficulties.
I offer a calm, thoughtful, and non-judgmental space in which to explore, make connections, and get support with difficult feelings. Beginning psychotherapy is an important undertaking and during the initial consultation, I can assist you in deciding if this is for you. Available in English, Portuguese and Italian.
