Hello. If you're reading this, you're probably asking yourself some tricky questions. Perhaps you've noticed something about your relationships, family, career or lifestyle, that no longer sits right. You'd love to know who you really are, and how you can get there without tripping yourself up (again).
Maybe there is something you've already tried to change over and over again, in many different ways. But whatever you do, stuff keeps on coming straight back. That doesn't sound like fun.
In therapy we'll aim to build an atmosphere of safety and security to explore why those patterns exist and what we can do to challenge/change them.
I'm an attachment-based psychotherapist. I'm interested in early relationships and the influence they had on your present day. That doesn't mean raking over past pain or blaming. It's more about discovering whether your idea of the way your world works needs re-drafting.
I'm also a teacher/lecturer used to working with counselling & psychotherapy students.
I'm not here to tell you what to do! I aim to be a kind, curious companion, helping you create your own change by learning how you 'tick'. I often think our minds are like a busy committee meeting, with too many noisy voices fighting to be heard. Therapy can help make sure you're setting an agenda that works for the person you'd like to be.
