I am Rod, I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in Kirkby Stephen, CA17. I am offering help and support to anyone who is struggling, children, teenagers and adults. I have experience working with children within schools, from 7 to 15 years old. I have now started private practice in Kirkby Stephen.
I have experience working with anxiety, low esteem, non-attendance at school, self harm, body image, bullying, and bereavement amongst other issues.
I am Ex Military (Paratrooper) and have operated my own business for over 15 years.
I have been married for over 30 years and have 2 daughters.
My life experience is wide and varied.
To empower my clients, I use interventions including, creative media, play therapy, guided imagery, talking therapy, outdoor therapy, (walking and talking), psycho-education and Transactional Analysis (TA).
