I’m Roberta Aversa, a UKCP-registered attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist with a deep commitment to helping you understand the impact of life experiences on your emotional well-being. My journey in psychotherapy began with studies at the London Centre for Psychotherapy, and I later completed the Bowlby Centre’s four year clinical training programme.
In addition to my private practice, I tutor and help manage the Certificate in Attachment Theory and Skills at The Bowlby Centre, where I’m fortunate to support others in their training and development in the field of attachment-based psychotherapy.
When we begin working together, we will explore how your life events, relationships, and significant attachments have shaped your sense of self and your emotional responses.
I believe that trauma and difficulties arise from our minds' ingenious ways of adapting to challenging circumstances.
