I’m an Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist. I think that having a dedicated space to explore our experiences, thoughts, emotions, memories, patterns with curiosity and compassion can lead to new perspective, self-knowledge and change. I've always been hugely valuing of these sorts of conversations and am a great believer in their potential to help us navigate life and find meaning in its challenges and tensions.
Each relationship is unique. Generally though, I'd say I work by offering a space in which you can freely explore whatever it is that brings you, and that by listening and trying to understand your experience as best I can, a dialogue is initiated in which patterns may emerge, beliefs be revealed, and emotion surfaced into awareness and expression.
It can require a real courage to trust another person with the details of our inner lives and experiences; I take this seriously and aim always to be a warm, genuine, and collaborative sort of a presence.
