Hey, thanks for looking at my profile. I've been qualified since 2008, treating fatigue, issues related to ADHD and ASD, issues related to head injury, trauma, OCD, health anxiety and BDD; but I can help with most difficulties. I was the Chair of the Section of Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity of the British Psychological Society until October 2024 when I founded the LGBTQ+ psychological society, PSIIQC. I'm also a gay, cis-gender man and trans ally. I work in partnership with a prescriber to offer ADHD diagnosis (meeting NHS/NICE standards) and medication (turnaround often only 2 to 3 weeks).
I am trained to use a number of therapies and I integrate these with my training as a psychologist to develop a psychological understanding (a formulation) which I test and adjust with my patient. I use a number of approaches CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, systemic, I-CBT, metacognitive and behavioural approaches with a professional, but an informal and relaxed manner.
Contacting therapists can be daunting, and it can feel like just the contact can accelerate you into suddenly being in sessions.
