Hey, thanks for looking at my profile. I've been in private practice since 2011 treating fatigue, issues related to ADHD and ASD, issues related to head injury, trauma, OCD, health anxiety and BDD; but I can help with most difficulties. I have worked a lot with LGBTQ+ communities and was the Chair of the Section of Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity of the British Psychological Society until October 2024. I'm also a gay, cis-gendered man and trans ally. I work in partnership with a prescriber to offer rapid ADHD diagnosis (meeting NHS/NICE standards) and medication (turnaround often only 5 to 6 weeks).
I am trained to use a number of therapies and I integrate these with my training as a psychologist to develop a psychological understanding (a formulation) which I test and adjust with my patient. I use a number of approaches CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, systemic and behavioural approaches with a professional, but an informal and relaxed manner.
Contacting therapists can be daunting, and it can feel like just the contact can accelerate you into suddenly being in sessions. I offer a free 15 minute, no obligation Zoom call, just so that you can get a feel for whether I'm the right person to work with. Drop me a message an we can discuss.
