I’m Richy, a BACP-registered counsellor working one-to-one online with adults and trainees. I can support those experiencing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, addiction, bereavement, trauma and attachment-related problems. I have had extensive experience in counselling the general public in organisations providing low-cost counselling services, in a psychiatric hospital setting and substance misuse clients, in addition to other transferable experience gained from a lengthy career in supporting people in other roles. I can provide therapy on either a short or long-term basis, depending on my client's needs.
My approach is client-centred, compassionate, and practical. Working in a trauma-informed way, drawing from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Existential, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches...I provide a safe space and shape our work around what you most need.
In addition to my wider professional work, I offer flexible, online sessions to those who want help navigating life's challenges.
