As a counselling psychologist, I have been educated and practice in a wide variety of models and seek to provide a service tailor made to individual’s needs, preferences and strengths.
I have been trained in a wide range of methods, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioural informed Therapy (DBT)
Psychodynamic
Humanistic psychotherapy.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
I have also had extensive supervision in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Schema Focused Therapy.
Often making the decision to seek psychological therapy is a difficult one. Meeting new people is often an anxious process, let alone when you do so to talk about things that may be very personal to you.
