I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. I work with a range of people who have experienced adversity in life. I have worked in the NHS for 10 plus years. I currently work in the NHS supporting affected by the infected blood scandal and people with bleeding disorders. My specialities include: supporting people who live with chronic health conditions and/or trauma. I have seen a range of issues including: anxiety, depression, loss, weight issues, grief and trauma. I also work extensively with people from the LGBT+ community. I am able support those who live with neurodivergence.
I have expertise in evidence based approaches to support people with the difficulties they face. The models I work with include; social justice, CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Narrative Therapy. I am trained in assessing what you are going through and how best to tailor therapy to meet your needs.
My focus is to first understand what happened to you, then explore how you’ve made sense of those experiences, and finally, work together to find a way forward. My approach is rooted in compassion and empathy helping you grow, heal, and move past challenges. If you’re struggling to make sense of things or feel stuck, I may be able to support you.
