I am a qualified Therapist with over 7 years of experience working within the substance misuse & mental health sector. The key to my work with clients is the belief that, through a psychotherapeutic relationship, we can gain insights into our patterns of behaviour. Working relationally, we can explore the possibility of change and begin to think of alternative positions that can move towards a more compassionate, and fulfilled version of ourselves. My main modalities of working with my clients is through addressing the unmet needs of our life experiences in early years, exploring the relational needs that may be left unattended too.
Through my training at the University of South Wales in Pluralistic Therapy, I have been afforded the capability to work eclectically with clients. I'm a a member of the (M)BACP and a Trainee member of the UK council for Psychotherapists (UKCP), my background allows me to draw from a different range of therapies to support clients needs and achieve goals.
My therapeutic practice is client-centred, offering a non-judgemental, caring, confidential and supportive way of working. My practice is Trauma informed, bringing the awareness of Adverse childhood experiences and how Trauma is displayed in adulthood, working with my clients to understand the impact of their experiences and obtain alternative ways of coping
