I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has been studying and working in the field for the past 22 years and I now run a private practice in Mid Sussex. After completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Newcastle University in 2006, I have more than 14 years’ experience working within the NHS. I have a specific interest and expertise in working with clients who have been diagnosed with a progressive neurological condition such as Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson's Disease. Working in this way necessarily involves supporting people who are caring for loved one who is experiencing one of these conditions.
More recently I have worked in the NHS's Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service, designed to address the needs of Adults with Long Term Health Conditions together with Anxiety and Depression. The types of Health Conditions that I commonly work with include Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Heart Conditions and Musculoskeletal problems.
