I understand how daunting it can be seeking counselling and finding a counsellor who you can trust and be honest and open with. I aim to provide a professional, safe, confidential and non judgmental space in which you will be able to explore recent and long standing personal issues and to gain a greater understanding of your unhappiness and distress and find a way to manage this. My main priority is to make this a positive experience for you, and for the changes to be long standing.
In my practice in Shropshire I work with adults, young people (11+) and couples across a diverse range of issues that arise in counselling. My areas of interest and specialism are bereavement, domestic abuse, couples therapy and psychosexual therapy. I am a person centred counsellor, but where appropriate I also draw on behavioral & psycho dynamic approaches
The fundamental part of my practice is the client-counsellor relationship, which i believe to be the heart of successful therapy. I will work collaboratively with you to determine which way of working suits your current situation and your needs.
