But I believe that at the heart of the therapy is the therapeutic relationship and how we can use this to support you in making meaningful changes to improve your wellbeing, sense of self, relationships and satisfaction in life.
Welcome! I'm Dr Kez Salaheddin, Clinical Psychologist & I specialise in Adult Mental Health with over 10yrs experience working across the NHS & private sector. I understand that everyone's journey through therapy is unique & very personal, you may have a clear idea of what you want to address, or you may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed or feel that things generally are not going the way you expected to in life. My approach is NOT to see you through a diagnostic label, but to offer you a safe space where you can develop skills, a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships & process experiences (past or present).

I have experience working with relationship breakdowns, alcohol addiction, depression, anxiety and self harm. I have worked with adolescents and adults of all disabilities. I've worked a great deal with confidence building and low self-esteem. I can help you recognise these behaviours and what triggers them.

I have worked with many clients over the years where a trigger, for example a job promotion, or a difficult relationship with a manager or a significant life event, have resulted in emotional distress such as anxiety, depression and self-doubt. I offer my clients a way of understanding this and the tools to manage their feelings so that they can reach their life goals. With the help of therapy, my highly motivated clients have found ways to feel more content, have more satisfying relationships with others, enjoy life more and have a deeper understanding of their strengths and areas of vulnerability.

I am a qualified BACP Accredited Counsellor and Family/Systemic Practitioner and I have been qualified for over twenty years. I offer a talking therapy and/or creative therapy to children, adults and young people. My approach to counselling is ‘Client-Centred’ having been trained in a number of modalities; Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Existential, CBT and as a Family Systemic Practitioner. I believe it is firstly the relationship between counsellor and client(s) which provides the foundation to explore, understand, challenge and change patterns of behaviour which are causing relationship difficulties and personal distress.

I can offer you one-to-one personal therapy or couples work. You may have personal issues relating to your self esteem, relationship, problems with anxiety, stress and depression, or you may just feel that your current situation is limiting you. I am an experienced therapist and you won't know if therapy can help you unless you try. It can be difficult though to reach out. You can work with me and I will offer you a safe, supportive space. We can talk things through together. Sometimes we all need to turn to someone who isn't a family member or a friend and who may be able to offer something different.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
