Hi, I'm Bec, a Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration and over 10 years experience working in NHS services. I provide a warm, collaborative and compassionate space to work through psychological and emotional challenges. I have experience working with a wide range of difficulties and have a keen interest working with families during the perinatal period, from preconception through to early parenthood. I can provide specialist support for trauma, loss and fear of childbirth. Being a parent myself I understand both the joy and challenges faced and appreciate the lasting impact the birthing experience can have.
I am experienced in providing a variety of therapies including: Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR); Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Whilst my specialist area is within perinatal, I can provide support for more general difficulties, including trauma, loss and bereavement by suicide.
I see therapy as a collaborative process, in which I aim to provide a safe space in which we can work towards goals that are important to you. I offer a free 15 minute consultation. Please do get in touch if you would like to meet me first, to decide if my approach is the right fit for you.
