As a counsellor of 19 years, my aim has been to provide a safe and supportive environment to help clients find solutions to their personal issues and anxieties. Together we will explore how to resolve any ongoing emotions in a proactive and healthy way that is at the clients pace. As a qualified supervision counsellor I provide the necessary supervision to counsellors and students around the South Wales area, providing a cohesive effort to ensure the welfare and safety of the client. This can be on an individual or group basis.

I am an integrative therapist specialising in using eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to treat a wide range of psychological issues. I am highly trained in psychotherapy, neuroscience and trauma and believe that our current issues can often be traced back to early adverse experiences in childhood. Compared to standard talking therapy EMDR generally takes a shorter amount of time to get to the root cause of the issue. Rather than just dealing with symptom management (like CBT), EMDR therapy works directly with the cause of your distress.

Life is good at throwing problems our way, counselling can help make sense of what's happening and allow you to move forward positively. I enjoy helping people achieve their goals, improve their quality of life and their work life balance. Giving people a space where they can be heard and respected, work together to overcome the challenges of modern life. I offer a flexible approach to appointments and a relaxed confidential space for sessions. My practice has allowed me to help clients of all ages from all backgrounds with wide ranging issues.

I know what it is like to have mental health issue. I am wounded healer myself. I have a grown up daughter who had suffered severe depression in her life. I am really keen to work with BAME community. Being an Asian, I totally empathise with current trauma that is being experienced within the community.
