Following over 20 years' experience working within the NHS, I now work for two well known charities supporting those with life limiting illness and bereavement, along with a local charity supporting both victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence, whilst also running my own successful private practice. I offer an understanding and empathic safe space and environment to facilitate your personal growth and support you whilst navigating life's challenges without judgement.

Hello and welcome, I have experience in many different client issues, to name some- self harm, relationship difficulties, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, neuro diversity, relationship difficulties, bereavement, miscarriage, infertility, addiction and trauma. I have a strong grounding in eating disorders, LGBTQ issues and sexual abuse. You may use the space how you wish to and I will be alongside you, supporting you along the way to find your own answers and come to your own solutions, conclusions and understandings. I wouldn't offer you advice but would facilitate what you would like to work on and what you wish to explore.

I am Qualified Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist, dedicated to helping every individual thrive in their own way, according to their specific need. Tailored to each individual I use varieties of therapeutic treatments including Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Transactional Analyses, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), also relaxation techniques.

I have experience of working with clients with a wide variety of issues including depression, anger, anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement, loss, stress, low self esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation and relationship issues. We all deal with emotional issues in our lives from time to time and it is when those issues become overwhelming and begin to get in the way of us living a fulfilling life, that it might be the right time to seek counselling. In my practice I offer a genuine, friendly and non-judgmental relationship with my clients.

I am a senior accredited psychotherapist/counsellor with over 11 years experience including both in the NHS and private practice, as well as the Honorary Secretary for the London-based Southern Association For Psychotherapy and Counselling (SAFPAC). I am also a member of the UK Balint Society and have continued my training and development with SAFPAC, the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP), London and the CG Jung Institute of Los Angeles, California, United States. Originally, I trained as a prehospital care ambulance and helicopter air ambulance flight paramedic and hold over 19 years clinical experience.

Newid pronounced "Nowed" is Welsh for change. I chose this name not only to reflect my heritage but also to reflect that change is the only constant in life. We all travel with it, yet all our experiences can be profoundly different. I believe that counselling is a collaborative process in which we work together on what you want to change or explore in a safe non-judgemental environment. I offer an integrative approach where we work side-by-side to understand your past and help you discover new ways of coping and moving forward. I recognise that courage is not fearless and making the 1st step can be challenging in it's self.

Welcome to my profile. I am fortunate to have worked across a range of contexts as well as extensive experience with a numerous clients. As a consultant family and systemic psychotherapist with 25 years experience I specialise in parental alienation, reunification, complex trauma and ptsd, couple therapy, family therapy, eating disorders, child and adult mental health, relationship difficulties, addiction including porn, sex and betrayal.
