Hi there, I'm Nicola and a very warm welcome to my page here at Psychology Today. You have taken the first step in moving forwards towards a more full filling life. Within our counselling relationship your issues, whatever they may be, can be discussed, acknowledged, accepted and addressed. Whether these are the bigger life transitions such as bereavement or relationship breakdown, or everyday frustrations such as breaking free of habits that no longer serve you.
I am a fully qualified, experienced counsellor with a strong person-centred base. I am warm, compassionate and will be accepting of whatever you choose to bring to counselling. I am passionate about the work I do and I genuinely care for my clients. I will aim to get to know you very well in the time we have together and build a strong relationship.
As a person-centred counsellor, I am trained to listen in a very special way. If it is your first time in counselling, you more than likely have never experienced being actively listened to in quite this way before. I am skilled in picking up on what is not said, which can be more important than what is said.
